The Department for Education (DfE) will process and personal data (name and address and any other identifying material) you provide (such as your name, address, and other identifying information) in accordance with the UK data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.  

Information submitted in response to consultations, including personal information, may be subject to publication or disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 or the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

If you would like all or part of your response to be treated as confidential, please explain why in the relevant section of the consultation response.

If we receive a request to disclose the information you have provided, we will take your explanation into account. However, we cannot guarantee that confidentiality can be maintained in all circumstances. An automatic confidentiality disclaimer generated by your IT system will not, by itself, be regarded as binding on the Department.

All personal data will be handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation. Where possible, personal identifiers will be removed before publication unless disclosure is required by law or you have provided consent. Any published comments would be anonymised.

The information provided by your computer when you use this website is collected by Delib. For example, your browser type, IP address, language preference, referring site and the date and time. The purpose for collecting this information is to maintain the security of the website and for operating and improving the software.
