Mandatory Gender Pay Gap Reporting - Government Consultation on Draft Regulations

Closed 11 Mar 2016

Opened 12 Feb 2016

Overview

Our consultation, Closing the Gender Pay Gap, sought views on how best to increase transparency around gender pay differences.  We have published a government response that summarises the findings of that consultation.

This follow-up consultation invites feedback on the details of the draft regulations that will introduce mandatory gender pay gap reporting for private and voluntary sector employers in England, Scotland and Wales with at least 250 employees.

To help us analyse the responses please use the online system wherever possible.  If for exceptional reasons, you are unable to use the online system you may download a response form and email it or post it to us.

Before completing the online or downloadable response forms, please refer to the above consultation document on mandatory gender pay gap reporting, as it includes the draft regulations.

Why your views matter

Following on from our consultation last year on closing the gender pay gap, we are now seeking views on the detail of the draft regulations that will introduce mandatory gender pay gap reporting.

What happens next

We will then analyse the responses and the results will be published on GOV.UK this summer.
