This call for evidence invites you to submit information that will help the government to consider how to improve the way that the non-medical help (NMH) funded through Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) is delivered to disabled students in higher education (HE).

About this call for evidence

This call for evidence sets out the current arrangements for providing DSA-funded NMH, the rationale for considering whether any changes are needed, and a number of questions seeking views about the way in which NMH is working at the moment and the future of the NMH system. At the call for evidence stage, we are seeking initial views on the questions set out in this document, which will help us to gather information from stakeholders with experience and knowledge on NMH in the HE sector. Depending on the responses, the DfE will consider whether consultation on specific measures or legislative changes is necessary. Analysis of the responses, and engagement with key stakeholders as appropriate, will follow this call for evidence.
