Children's Social Care National Framework and Dashboard
Overview
We are seeking views on the Children's Social Care National Framework (National Framework) and the Children's Social Care Dashboard (Dashboard).
The National Framework has been published alongside Stable Homes, Built on Love: Implementation Strategy and Consultation. In the strategy, government committed to setting greater national direction for the system. The National Framework will help everyone understand the expectations for their work with children and families and set clear outcomes and enablers to the children's social care system.
Why your views matter
This consultation is on the National Framework and Dashboard, including the expectations for practice and the indicators that form the Dashboard. We are seeking feedback from across the sector and from children, young people and families.
Government has committed to taking forward a National Framework and Dashboard for children’s social care. The document describes the purpose, principles and outcomes for children’s social care and provides clarity on what local authorities should achieve and how they should start to understand their progress towards those outcomes.
